Lincoln park zoo

Idag var jag och barnen på zoo med Anna och Kalle. Viggo hade skoj och
Kajsa sov mest.

Kajsa

Vårt liv är numera minst sagt hysteriskt med två barn, skola och planer om framtiden. När vi vanligtvis bloggar så är det i sängen från våra iphones, men nu sitter jag i soffan och har en stund över.
Tänkte jag skulle skriva lite om vad som händer och sker med Kajsas lunga. Vi var på Childrens memorial i förra veckan och träffade våran kirurg Dr Madonna (jag vet, helt tokigt namn). Dom gjorde ett hjärtultraljud när vi fortfarande var på sjukhuset och det visade att klammrarna (heter det så på svenska?) inte stänger sig helt, men det kan vara normalt när dom är nyfödda så vi får vänta och se med det, men när Dr Madonna lyssnade på henned hjärta så tyckte hon att det lät bra. Vi gjorde en röntgen av hennes lunga i förra veckan och då kunde dom inte se cystan, vilket tydligen är vanligt (fattar inte varför dom gör röntgen när dom ändå inte verkar se något på dem). Dom såg ju dock cystan på ultraljudet dom gjorde när hon var nyfödd så den är ju där fortfarande. Nu kommer vi gå tillbaka med jämna mellanrum och så kommer det komma hem en sköterska till oss lite då och då och ha koll på henne tills hon är 6 månader då dom gör en ct scan och sedan bestämmer Dr Madonna när operationen skall ske (någonstanns mellan 6-9 månader).
Visst fick vi upp hoppet lite när dom inte såg cystan men sedan så slog Dr Madonna det hoppet i spillror ganska fort. Vi är såklart jätte glada att Kajsa inte behövdes opereras på en gång, fast bäst är det om hon aldrig skulle behöva det.
Så nu får vi bara vänta och vänta och hålla koll på hennes andning i några månader innan något större kommer att ske.
Stackars lilla Kajsa som får gå igenom alla konsiga tester, hon är verkligen en champ som våran barnläkare säger :-)

Today's activities

Playing in the park with family Berg and practice tummy time. Tomorrow
we are hoping to go to the beach before it closes for the season.

IKEA

Well Kajsa has been alive for almost three weeks, which is way too
long for any Swede to be away from IKEA. So we packed up the Pilot and
visited our favorite store. This was probably a dumb idea given the
holiday traffic and amount of people at the store. Both kids were
screaming, Viggo was determined to add a giant stuffed dog to his
collection, and he had to be bribed with chocolate balls and ice
cream. Besides this bring the most stressful family outing we have
ever had, Therese and I realized that we can do this. Two kids require
so much more effort and patience, but for now we feel as if we can
conquer the world.

Ergobaby

Jag försöker få till hur man andvänder ergon och idag gjorde vi
faktiskt lite framsteg. Kajsa sov gott i selen i nån timme. Fråga till
Hedvig, skall hon ligga sov här i inserten?

Kyligare dagar

Idag var vi i lekparken och det är så skönt att det inte är så varmt längre

Is America Ready for this Look?

The skull cap is all the craze if you are a hip hopper or baller, but
can this somewhat similar look catch on here? Its like a pretty cap
with ear flaps. We will see how many puzzling stares we get at the
park today.

Goodnight

I was back at work, both sets of grandparents are home and Therese had
her first solo day with the kids. I still don't know how she got both
of them into the car at once. Super woman?

11 days dr visit

I took Kajsa to dr T today and she weights 3850 gr so she is still
down a little. Her height is 55 cm so she is a tall girl. Tomorrow we
will celebrate that Dustin is turning the big 3 0!!!!! Sleep tight!

The first ride in the car was a success.

Nappträning

Som ni vet så är vi väldigt stora ja sägare till napp. Inte bara för att det ger skydd mot psd, dom har oxå förhindrat Viggo att stoppa saker i munnen vilket har varit väldigt skönt. Så det kommer ju sig såklart väldigt naturligt att även Kajsa skall napptränas :-)

X-games

What better way to spend some time waiting for the car while the oil is getting changed? I think we found a future career and future sponsor (please read this Mt. Dew).

Finally she has a name

After days of negotiation and going over hundreds of possibilities....we have finally agreed upon a name for our little one. No longer will she have to be referred to as just little sister or baby girl.

We proudly introduce to you Kajsa Audrey Marchant.

Visitors

We had our first non-family visitors stop by to see the little girl. Tomas and Emilie, Raoul and Ms. Z, and of course godparents Brian and Erin. From the chocolate cigars, to the beautiful flowers and balloons, thank you all for welcoming our little girl into the world.

A few moments from yesterday

Can I do anything the normal way?

Mommy here writing from the bed! So we are in our second day and I start to feel like a human again. Yesterday morning was dramatic, but I'm just happy that we all are fine. You know how I picked the planned C-section over vaginal since I didn't want to end up having an emergency C-section? Ok, so we ended up with a what I think they call crash C-section (urakut snitt) because the baby's heart rate fell very drastic when they gave me the spinal so I got the two worst scenarios, both spinal and got to sleep through the whole thing and missed the first hours of my daughters life!

I'm so happy she is fine, but little bummed that I missed her birth and her first hours! Why can't it never just work out normally when I do something?

Anyway we are fine now and baby nameless is super awesome! Viggo was here visting and he totally ignored me the whole time! I think he was little bummed out of all the cords so he played with his cars instead and pointed at little sister and said bejbi like 100 times :-). He is doing great with my parents and he dosesn't seem to miss us to much!!

Both mom and baby are doing great. We are still waiting on the c-scan results about the lung, but so far so good.
