Viggo gor forsta cykelturen

Har ar parken dar vi bor. Den ar 5 min gangavstand och dar finns en stor lekpark och pooler. Det ar i denna damm som dom superfarliga ormarna skall finnas..slightly freaked out :-)

Varat nya vardagsrum. Har inte fixat klart som ni kan se men det blir val fardigt lagom tills vi skall flytta igen antar jag.

Dock ar HAndy Manny ganska populart med. Viggo har hamrat och sagat nu i flera veckor i och med flytten!

Vi har det bra här i Texas men väldigt mycket att stå i. Jag har nog
aldrig varit mer trött tror jag. Det har varit några händelserika
månader för oss.

Today Viggo had his tonsils and adenoids out. The doctor said they were enormous and he should breathe much better now.  Everything went great and he is just waking up. This first pic was just before they carted him off after they gave him some medicine to relax (man he was out of it).  Someone has plenty of ice cream and popsicles in his near future.

Vårt nya hus!

This is our new house! It's in a suburban new development called high pointe. It's a house with three bedrooms, a guest bedroom/ office, dining room, livingroom, 3 bathrooms, playroom, yard, garage, and 3 minutes walk to hiking/ biking trails, pools, splash park, fitness center and playgrounds. So we should be all set! Hope you come and visit us soon!

Gröt

Kajsa is not sure about oatmeal just yet. We made a snowball light the other day. We also bought a new stroller since our broke on the flight over from Sweden. For anyone who has to children, I'm so recommend this stroller. It is super awesome!

BBQ @ Uncle Billy's

We went to a great BBQ place that overlooks Lake Travis.  It was just a little too cold to eat outside, but we will definitely take any of you there when you come to visit.

Back to just one blog

After working on the other blog, we felt it was best to just stick with one.  So this will still be the family blog, although we might be changing the web address so it doesn't say just viggomarchant in the address. We will of course keep you all updated.

Other exciting news is that we have put in an application to rent a house.

I swear I started singing the opening song to Weeds as we drove up to the house.  If we do get this home and you come and visit us, expect to experience the suburban life at its Texas best.

Steak & Swings

Today was as good as it gets for a January Saturday. After cooking up some steak and eggs we headed over to the park as the afternoon temperatures rose past 60. So as my Chicago friends are freezing in sub zero temperature, I was happy to be having a beer outside in a short sleeved shirt while Kajsa enjoyed the swing.

I can get used to these types of Winters.

Visiting Austin

We packed up and headed to Austin for the week to hopefully find a new home. Viggo played at the airport, had to be bribed with a cookie at 10.30 in the morning to be quiet, but overall was great on the flight thanks to the iPad.

Therese found her way over to the largest Whole Foods in America and we picked up some salads and a mixture of great beers to take back to the hotel room.

So far we are in love with Austin. The weather is amazing, the people are exceptionally nice, and the city seems filled with great restaurants (if only we had someone to watch the kids).

Da Bears

I was fortunate enough to get a great seat to the Bears playoff game against Seattle (Thanks Matt). The crowd was insane, the snow was coming down, and the Bears killed them on the field. What a way to say goodbye to Chicago sports with a convincing playoff victory, and of course I had to buy Viggo a Chicago Bears hat.
